It may seem like a long while before we get to 2016, but the reality is that designers are already busily working on product lines that will start to appear in 2016. So having a sense of where colour palettes are headed to best choose colourways for wallcoverings, fabrics for upholstered goods, and finishes for casegoods is hugely important.
The Color Marketing Group, or CMG, shows a forecast heavy on the red undertones, hence the continued strong presence of pinks and purples. Many of the neutral brown tones also lean towards red, which pair nicely with cool greys and deeper blues.
Pantone‘s colours, though they may appear different given the presentation, are quite similar, thus strengthening the argument that colour is all about the way you use it.
