Echinacea

the Book of Bokeh

A few years ago echinacea (or ‘cone flowers’ to us older crowd) were praised as a cure all for the common cold. More recent studies have undermined or dismissed that claim entirely, but in any case, they are still stunningly beautiful flowers and honeybees love them. And who would argue with bees?

The last picture was an opportunistic grab, a close up of the side of the vase I was using to hold the flower as I photographed it.

Before viewing the photographs, I would also like to invite you to visit the poetry blog, the Book of Pain. As always, special thanks to my dearest Lyn, She Of Great Taste In All Things But Men, who does most of the photo selection. Thank you for dropping by the Book of Bokeh.
